BenClark.com

I've been enjoying my summer break so far. (I got a week off of work, so I took off as soon as I finished my last paper on Tuesday.) Even the drive home was nice -- no traffic, no cops, just me and the road, cruise control and my iPod.

Fifth of the way to the end

Well, lucky me: I finished my third assignment for Info Org four hours late. She wanted it by Saturday morning and I made it just in time for an early dinner. *stupid* I just couldn't wrap my head around the assignment, partly because I chose to analyze "WWSB.com" as my "web document" -- I thought it would be fun to create metadata and subject headings for it, but it really was just a pain in the ass and I would have been better off doing a real document published somewhere on the Web, something academic.

Tech goodies!

Since we're all dorks here, I'll post (briefly) about some cool new tech goodies I have because I'm excited.

New PowerBooks

Very upset about the new PowerBook lineup. They bumped up the processors to 1.33 GHz and 1.5 GHz, which only serves to rub in my face how slow 867 MHz is. The new PowerBooks can handle up to 2 GB of RAM (the 12-inch can handle up to 1.256 GB), have FireWire 800 ports, and Gigabit Ethernet. And the price remains (semi) affordable! The iBooks have been revised, too, which means that my sister might get a better laptop than I have. *sigh*
