Metajournaling

Well, I put up a more meaningful splash page for Metajournaling, along with some descriptive text and a mock-up of the header and footer concepts. Let me know what you think.

If you want to contribute (i.e. write code, help design database layout, etc.) then let me know. I'm going to give early adopter status to most of you anyway, so you don't have to ask, but if you want to help (help!) or even offer up constructive ideas, I'm totally up for that.

Life is an ordered list.

Life is a <ol>.

  1. Order checks from SunTrust so I can pay my bills.
  2. Register for summer courses.
  3. Revise my DIS syllabus for the last couple of weeks in the semester.
  4. Make sure I'm OK on money for the rest of the month.
  5. Fight for the strength to e-mail or call Indiana. Just rip the bandage off in one quick jerk.

Of course, in reality, it's more like <ul>.

I broke my GUI

I can't believe I broke KDE.

I don't even know how I did it!

I even wiped the partitions and re-installed . . . which is a big no-no in Linux, simply because it's really not necessary . . . but since I didn't know what I did, I didn't know how to repair the damage . . .

E-mail Solutions for BenClark.com

E-mail solutions for 'benclark.com' I have investigated thus far:

Network Solutions
$20/yr for 1 POP3 e-mail account w/ access to SMTP
100 MB storage, 3 aliases, unlimited forwarding
Pros: No need to transfer domain regstrar; reasonably affordable; I trust Network Solutions to not be a 'fly-by-night' operation
Cons: I cannot manage my DNS through DynDNS

GoDaddy
$9.95/yr for 1 POP3 e-mail account w/ access to SMTP
25 MB storage, catch-all address
