Good grief, it's been a while since I actually said anything in my journal.
Since my Indiana trip, I have been tired - very tired. I don't really know why. I just haven't been able to catch up on sleep.
So it wasn't so surprising that Wednesday of last week I got quite sick. Starting around four in the afternoon, my throat started to swell up a little, and I started to feel feverish. Any doubt that I was getting sick was forgotten by 7, because by then I couldn't swallow anything solid, and all I wanted to do was climb in bed. Wednesday night was a night of hell spent tossing and turning and waking up in cold sweats.
I spent all day Thursday watching West Wing DVDs and waiting until my Dr. appointment at 3:30. They gave me some penicillin, took a throat culture, and sent me on my way, although to their credit everyone I dealt with was extremely sympathetic because apparently I looked quite the case. I also came in with a 103 degree fever, so that probably set the mood.
By 10:30 Thurs evening, my fever broke and I started to feel better. Ever since it broke, I have felt infinitely better. Still haven't caught up on my sleep, though.

Tomorrow morning at 10, I will have my wisdom teeth "extracted," which sounds about as painful as it probably would be if I weren't to be drugged, which I absolutely will be. The procedure will last about 45 minutes, but the whole day will be wiped. It'll be a wash. I kid you not. Some of you might know the joy of seeing me on AIM, but I'm not promising anything.
So I'm sitting here, in my hometown of Venice, FL, and I'm watching West Wing DVDs on my PowerBook with headphones and trying my best to ignore the impending .. experience. I can't eat and I can't drink (not even water!) for at least 8 hours before the surgery.
I'm really tired, but I'll probably catch up on my sleep tomorrow. In other news, I'm in Venice until the 26th.
