Bloomington, Indiana

I am now in Bloomington, Indiana. I have been here for over a week, but I just got Internet access in my apartment restored yesterday afternoon. I have been slowly but steadily unpacking and organizing my new apartment. It's what I would call a "work in progress."

On my way

This will be the last post for a while, since I don't have a reliable Internet connection in Bloomington (not yet at least). I'll be leaving tomorrow morning before the sun starts to shine, or at the very worst, before most college-aged kids would wake up on a Saturday in August. I'm hoping to make it up to Indiana before too late on Saturday, then go the rest of the journey (and move in) on Sunday.

If you need to reach me, I'll have my phone with me. Wish me luck!

Evil twins always have goatees

For everyone who thinks the Internet is a good thing, allow me to say that the Internet enables two people to meet who should have never met at any point in the great universal experience. I'm not talking about coming across the rapists and other dangerous entities; I'm talking about increasing your chances of finding an evil doppelganger.

I told you five or four times

I'm more than a little eager to leave Tallahassee in the dust.

In about ten days, I'll be moving up to Bloomington and hopefully starting a new sampler platter at the buffet of life. (I'll do my best to stay away from that cottage cheese; despite it being right next to the leafy greens, it looks questionable.)

A mouse saves the day?

I know I'm really buying into this whole Apple Mighty Mouse thing -- if Steve Jobs introduced the interactive toilet I'd still have that knee-jerk reaction of "I must buy this..." -- but it's actually reasonably priced and feature rich. I especially like the scrollball concept. I'm not sure how I feel about the squeeze-buttons on the sides, but who knows.
