Blog nodes restored from backups of the old Drupal 5.x install.
Every few weeks or so, I remember that I have a blog here. There's only a handful of people who read this, but that doesn't mean I should treat you like second-class citizens, right? Exactly. Yeah, I'm just not good at this.
I've fallen for someone new. Her name is Drupal and she and I have been spending every day together. It's a beautiful thing, our love. She's showing me ways to do things that I thought I'd have to take care of by hand, and every time I think of something missing, we go out together and find a pre-made module that fits my needs perfectly. It's made work a little more fun, anyway.
Aside from work, I'm just doing the daily routine -- nothing to report. I'm still evaluating my options for careers . . . and destinations. I have friends willing to board me in D.C. for a few months if I need it, and that's definitely a plus. I'm also looking for jobs on the west coast, preferably in the pacific northwest region. I'd probably need a heck of a lot of money to actually get out there (and a job offer or two), but I'd be fulfilling a dream I've had since high school. I'll get there eventually, anyway. I'm just trying to pick a "when."
I'm planning a post or two about the last 12 months, and why I abandoned my Ph.D work so abruptly, so that I can clarify my thoughts, so you have that to look forward. Probably won't happen for a few weeks, though.
And if something exciting should ever happen . . .
